Monetary Gifts

You can support the mission of the LSU Health Shreveport Library through financial contributions managed by the LSU Health Shreveport Foundation. Go to the LSUHS Health Shreveport Library Foundation Donation Page. By selecting the Comegys Library Enhancement Fund, you can make a book donation in tribute of a family member, friend, or colleague or support the Library student environment. With the Marianne and Stafford Comegys Endowed Professorship in Medical Library Science, you can support the continuing education of our faculty and staff. If you make a book donation in tribute of a family member, friend, or colleague make sure you also complete the Commemorative Gifts form. The Library has agreed to license resources on behalf of LSU Health Shreveport departments that wish to use departmental funds to pay for the entire ongoing cost of the resource for the campus. If your department is interested in this arrangement, please contact Library Administration at 318-675-5449. |

Historical Materials
| Books, papers, or artifacts related to the history of LSU Health Shreveport, or to the medical history of the region, may be appropriate for the Library’s History of Medicine Collection or the institution's archives. The space for these collections is very limited. In general, any donations accepted by the Library become the property of the institution, and LSU Health Shreveport reserves the right to determine their retention and location. If you believe your materials may be of historical significance, contact Library Administration at 318-675-5449. |  |
Donating Materials for the Main Collection

Given limitations in space and the cost of processing materials, the Library is unable to accept print donations for the main collection. Library staff have prepared a list of other agencies that might accept donations. Please see the Library's retention policy and material donation policy. |
