Monetary Gifts

You can provide a lasting tribute to a family member, friend, or colleague by making a monetary contribution to the LSU Health Shreveport Library for the purchase of a Library resource in print or electronic format. Click here for more information. You can also support the LSU Health Shreveport Library through financial contributions managed by the LSU Health Shreveport Foundation. Please click here for the LSU Health Foundation Donation Page. Choose Medical Library as the designation for your donation. The Library has agreed to license resources on behalf of LSU Health Shreveport departments that wish to use departmental funds to pay for the entire ongoing cost of the resource for the campus. Historical Materials
| Books, papers, or artifacts related to the history of LSU Health Shreveport, or to the medical history of the region, may be appropriate for the Library’s History of Medicine Collection or the institution's archives. The space for these collections is very limited. In general, any donations accepted by the Library become the property of the institution, and LSU Health Shreveport reserves the right to determine their retention and location. If you believe your materials may be of historical significance, contact Library Administration at 318-675-5449. |  |
Donating Materials for the Main Collection

Given limitations in space and the cost of processing materials, the Library is unable to accept print donations for the main collection. Library staff have prepared a list of other agencies that might accept donations. Please see the Library's retention policy and material donation policy. |
